Your audio is processed entirely on your device. We never receive, store, or transmit your recordings.
This policy explains how the Fartzam mobile application ("Fartzam", "we", "our") handles your data when you use the app. It applies to all users worldwide.
Fartzam stores your analyses locally on your device only:
This data lives in the app's local storage and is removed if you uninstall Fartzam. We do not have access to it.
Backups. Your clips and analyses are excluded from iCloud backup and from Android backup and device-to-device transfer, so they never reach a cloud backup. To move your vault to a new phone, use EXPORT VAULT in Settings: it builds a zip on your phone and hands it to your share sheet, and you choose where it goes.
None. Fartzam contains no crash-reporting, analytics or advertising SDK, and the app itself makes no network requests. On Android the released app does not even hold the internet permission. If you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with Apple or Google in your phone's settings, the operating system may send them crash logs for Fartzam, under their policies and your settings; we only see the aggregated crash counts and stack traces they show developers, and those never contain your audio.
When you tap "Share Fart" the app uses your phone's native share sheet to send text + an audio clip + a fartzam.app link to a recipient you choose. This sharing is initiated by you. Fartzam does not see, store, or relay your shared content. The same applies to EXPORT VAULT: the zip goes only where you send it.
Fartzam is rated 12+ on the App Store and Teen on Google Play. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Because Fartzam processes audio entirely on your device and does not require an account, our processing model satisfies the core requirements of GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and similar regulations elsewhere. There is no personal data for us to disclose, port, or delete on request because we do not have any.
If we update this policy we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced in-app.
